The Original Sinclair, Dr. Greg Bever
6/25/52 - 3/27/07
Dear Sinclairs Band Fans:

It is with regret that we have to post the passing of "The Original" Sinclair Dr. Greg Bever. Greg was responsible for gathering up Ken Gloss and Rod Loomis to jam to some old garage band 60's rock&roll music. Not long after this jam session work started the three decided to add a fourth and posted an ad at a few music stores for a singer keyboard player. The ad said if you are interested in jamming and not playing out in public reply to Greg Bever. Enter a 28 year old novice that liked to sing and could pound out a few chords on a keyboard.

9 1/2 years later and having played in front of thousands of fans The Sinclairs Band still lives on.
Dr. Bever was a wonderfully funny friend and honestly his greatest asset to the band was his great sense of humor and his boundless energy. He wasn't a world class bass player as he always needed his music in front of him and a wrong note or two were not uncommon. He always wore his cowboy hat or some sort of hat when he played, but he never missed a gig, and always came to have fun.
He leaves behind a great family, wife Lynne and three great kids Gregory Jr., Alyson, and Ian. Lynne we owe you so much as you allowed us to invade your living room for the first 6 months to a year. We created chaos in your family room and of course Greg wrecked your cabinet (We might as well blame it on him now right?).
When things got busy with his kids lives and travel hockey and horse shows, there wasn't even a slight hesitation that Greg's priorities were with his family obligations and he informed us that he was leaving the band. He thanked us for letting him live out his dream to be a rock star and rode his Harley off into the sunset. He never really left though, because it was Greg's spirit that made us what we are today. His vision was to give the people something that they didn't see every weekend. "Lets do some material that no one else plays while we are doing some stuff that everyone loves, and keep it fresh all the time." We still try to live by this theory today and will continue in the future.

Greg we will miss you a bunch but we will never forget you and the legacy you have left behind. The Sinclairs Band is your legacy and the "Band of Brothers" that you created from that idea.

We love you.
